John 4:16 ESV Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me."
I had an interesting conversation with a Pastor recently whose church is growing tremendously. The Pastor leads a church for people that have left Burma and now live in the Indianapolis area. He spoke of his concern for the church in America. It got me thinking. It used to be culturally acceptable to be a Christian. The morals and norms of society were pretty much in line with Christianity. Now what Christians believe is not the prevailing thought of our culture. Many that have professed Christianity in the past have fallen by the wayside because it is not the most popular thing to do. Just maybe we are really as strong as we have been in the past as true followers of Christ...….the pretenders are not as vast....but are still here. I think that we as Christians thought that since we had the "truth" we would win in society and that the "truth" would prevail. We were called to love others but instead we blamed and argued and we failed.....those not "In Christ" were not given the Great Commission.....those of us "In Christ" were! May we not shy away from those we think are unlovable. We have the most amazing gift of love of all....In Christ Jesus......let's share!
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
